I caught the "Tail-End" of a broadcast this morning 28/05/09, on Premier Radio.
I think it was "Hope For 2Day."
I heard a gentleman talking about the Church and how we need to get back to true relationship with Christ and what that relationship means in our dealings with others," he also said that institutionalised religion had gotten us where we are, And I couldn't agree more!
That's why the broadcast caught my attention.
It's a long story but I have moved from the organised system into a place of reality and desire rather than duty.
I was wondering about a number of things:
1) The Conference in July - What is it about, theme, etc, who is it for, and would I benefit from it as someone who is out of the system. (I acknowledge that many can be in a church without being misled by traditional frills, etc, so I am not being Dogmatic
2) Who was the speaker who made those comments about organised religion on Premier
3) Have you any advice for me within the context of my new website?
(We are not about church bashing, a you will see from the website, but I would like your insights and opinion as to what you think would be both helpful and positive on this site)

Thank you for your time,
God Bless

Hello Paul, I'm a new listener/ reader to your website. I found your site from a link on Darin Hufford's website, "freebelievers.com". I have been so inspired by your audio messages and have recommended others to listen to them as well.
In my religious life I stumbled over the verse "let us labor unto his rest" thinking it was something MORE that I MUST DO for God. I was so bone weary of my mostly self imposed rules and eventually I fell away and did all the things I said I'd never do again. This piled on to my already over-burdened baggage of guilt and shame and I wanted to die. This is what I see and hear from my believing bros & sis' and unbelievers alike. We have been trained by the 'experts' in what to do to be pleasing to the God who is already pleased w/us via JESUS.
It is the supreme relief of my life (mind) to leave the unpacking of my baggage (past, present & future) and allow God to serve me and love me. Life is so very exciting now resting in Christ's labor of love for me. May all be encouaged to 'obey' Jesus words in Matthew 11: 28-30 " Come to me, all of you who are weary and over-burdened, and I will give you rest!".....
Happy New Year! Love, Deb

I am beginning to see the power of speaking the truth in my life and marriage. What I and my husband had to face was the fact that we loved darkness more than Light. The conviction of this truth given to us by the Holy Spirit has brought us out into the Light. We used to hide from one another in many convoluted ways and avoided certain subjects. The reason for this: fear of being seen as we really are - Human and needy. God has no problem with it and says "Shed those fig leaves and come out as you are" We on the other hand still shedding our religious mindsets have to learn we don't have to worry about being seen as not good enough. The religious view says you are good enough when you have a collection of God attributes that you display consistently. The true and honest to God view that we are learning is that we are but dust, human, limited, and NOT GOD! As we rest in that we are in a place of receiving God's unconditional Love for us and transformation "happens". No effort on our part changes us, just staying in that position God put us in when He formed us - Human.
